What a magical Christmas it was with our Charlie Bear! I felt like a kid again waiting for Christmas to come and being so very excited to give Charlotte her presents. She seemed to have a lot of fun opening presents, but I think her favorite part was playing musical instruments with Papa and Uncle Ben. They played piano, drums, and guitar - and now, Charlotte thinks everything is a drum :) At one point, when Ben was playing guitar and singing to Charlie, Rob nudged me and said, "I think Charlotte is falling in love."
Charlotte loves to dance too. She refined her dance style over Christmas....with Snoopy (which she might have liked more than any of her presents)...and while being serenaded during lunch. She does the same dance at home, every time our Christmas clock plays a Christmas carol or her toys play a song. I can't get enough of this cute little dance!
Here are some pictures that follow our fun Christmas celebration:
We watched The Muppet Christmas Carol on Christmas Eve morning.
Took some pictures during the day while we mostly just hung out, cooking and playing games.
Charlie was done taking pictures at this point and Uncle Ben agreed :)
I became an official Elf on Christmas Eve night. Now that we have Charlie Bear, Mom (the original Elf for the Wade family) inducted me with a magical Christmas ornament and key to Santa's workshop - which might have been my favorite part of Christmas :)
Christmas morning, opening stockings and presents!
Charlotte was very excited to get this gift.
Just couldn't help including this picture of our Papa Bear.
And Nana too.
Best brother ever.
"Hey, you look like my Duncan."
I think this might have been my favorite Christmas ever!!! Such sweet family time, fun games, delicious food, thoughtful gifts, and precious memories. Couldn't have asked for a better first Christmas for our Charlie Bear!
