Our God is BIG!

Charlotte had her 15th month checkup a couple of weeks ago.  It was the first time that she remembered the doctor's office and what was going to happen while we were there.  She cried almost the whole time - luckily, Daddy was there to cheer both of us up!

I also wanted to document something for the future, Charlie Bear.  This was your 8th doctor's appointment since you were born, and every single one of them has been for a well visit check-up.  You have never been sick!!  Part of that may be because you have an awesome immune system, but I also think it has been a way for God to teach us to trust him and show us how big he is.  When you were born, Daddy switched jobs, and his new insurance did not pay very much for sick doctor's visits.  If it was just a well visit, they pay 100%, but we were worried that with a new baby, we would not be able to afford the doctor's bills if (and when, in our minds) you got sick.

But I will never forget what Poppie said to us.  He said we can either trust in a job with good insurance benefits in case we get sick or in our God who can keep us well.  It is not always easy to trust, even when God proves himself over and over, so I wanted to document this for you.  God is big!  He didn't have to keep you well this year - we could have gone into debt or gotten a loan or Daddy could have gotten a different job and God would still be big.  But he chose to show his power and goodness to us this year in this way for a reason, and I don't want to forget it.  So when you read this someday, know that God wants to show you that he is big.  You just have to look and remember.
