Guess you could say I've been on a blogging hiatus for a while now. Packing, moving, and unpacking take up much more time than you think they are going to...not to mention cleaning up after an exploding washing machine (thank goodness that is all taken care of!). But today, instead of unpacking during naptime, I am going to write a blog post!
So far we are doing well in Austin...getting settled and used to the area. But I have to say that not a day goes by that we don't miss our favorite playmates and play dates like this one:
And our sweet little nephew, Leo (that was born the same day we moved!)...so hard to leave that precious face!
And his parents too! So much love for this adorable family!
Charlie Bear helps keep smiles on our faces, though, with conversations like this (even though we took this video in our old house, it was too cute not to post) and cute new ways of getting from one place to another.
Charlotte is loving exploring our new house. The fireplace is a new favorite place for a snack.
So despite the fact that I drove around in a big circle for 10 minutes looking for DSW today (and never found it), we are putting one foot in front of the other and keeping our eyes open for what God has in store for us here in Austin. And a pumpkin spice latte during naptime sure helps to keep a positive outlook :)
