Balena Bears Love Football

I have always had a special place in my heart for football.  Maybe it's because I started watching football with my dad when I was only a few months old or because of our Sunday tradition of eating lunch after church at Cici's and then going home to watch the Cowboys play or maybe it's just because it's in my blood. Whatever the reason, when football is on TV, it makes me feel at home.  Something about the sound of it, even if we're not watching the game closely, is comforting to me.

Add all of that to the fact that my amazing husband played football all throughout high school and the first part of college (and his dad played at Penn State!), Charlotte doesn't have much hope of not loving football too.  Luckily it appears that she is already embracing the football-loving-heart that runs in her family.

Charlie says "touchdown!"

Charlie watches football

This past weekend, we had a picnic on the floor and decided to watch something while we ate.  We asked Charlotte if she wanted to watch Sesame Street or football, and she clearly said football.  I even asked her again because I was so shocked (Sesame Street is her favorite!), and she held her ground.  Rob and I looked at each other with both shock and pride in our eyes.  I guess we have a lot of football to watch in our future!  Yipppeeeee!
