We started to work really hard at getting Charlotte to smile.
She even smiled in her sleep:
Rob created a famous (well, famous in our house) catchphrase that always made Charlotte smile. Here he is using it well: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yqnkLNXbjmM
We also spent a lot of time trying to get Charlotte's cooing on camera. We have so many videos of Rob and I making silly noises and Charlotte just looking at us like we are crazy. It seemed like she would always stop when we got out the camera. This video shows both Charlotte's early stages of cooing and the silly attempts we made to keep her going: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xPZc9u8CdJQ
We have always thought that Charlotte was a really strong baby. She started holding her head up early on, at least it seemed early to us. During these couple of months, she really started to hold her head up during tummy time:
During this time, we celebrated Rob's birthday and Easter. Rob's birthday was in March and Charlotte was just 9 weeks old. She had a special birthday outfit for Rob's birthday and made sure to say Happy Birthday, Daddy!
We took a lot of pictures of Charlotte for Easter. This was the result of our first attempt:
So we waited a couple of days and tried again, with more smiles and less tears:
It was a magical couple of months! But I saved the best for last....Charlotte's first laugh! We were so surprised and excited to catch it on camera. Of course, it happened with Daddy - he is the best smile and laugh producer. I love to see the special bond that the two of them have already.
