Charlotte's birthday party was so much fun, although I'm afraid that Rob and I had more fun than the birthday girl did. We went with The Price is Right theme because Charlotte really does love watching it, and we thought we could reenact it and be just as entertaining as Drew Carey is. In hindsight, I think the things she probably likes the most about the show are the lights, colors, and silly noises, which were much more difficult to replicate than the games were. But hopefully Charlotte will look back at her 1st birthday someday and see how excited we were to celebrate her, because let's face it, in our eyes she is the greatest thing to ever happen in the history of the world! :)
Here are a few pictures:
Rob made this sign by hand!! If you look on the TV screen, you can see the real logo from the show, and it looks exactly the same! It's still hanging in our living room, and I don't know if I'll ever be able to take it down.
Here I am as Drew Carey. I can't find a picture of Rob as the model, but believe me, he was one good looking prize presenter!
Everyone had name tags, just like on the game show. Charlotte's was the only one in pink since she was the birthday girl.
We wanted to keep the party small to try to make it less overwhelming for Charlie, so we just invited two of her favorite friends, Owen...
...and Olivia. Such sweet friends!
I can't remember exactly what was happening when we took this picture, but I think she's saying, "Oh my goodness, I'm one now! How did that happen so fast?!" Oh wait, that's what I was thinking the whole party :)
Charlotte's cake
She really did like when we sang Happy Birthday, I promise! I think that was the highlight of the party for me - so proud of my one-year-old!
Charlie wasn't a huge fan of her cake. My favorite part was how she only used one finger to lick the icing. I was expecting to have to bathe her afterward, but she hardly got messy at all. Such a lady!
Her favorite part of the party was getting to show everyone her new favorite toy, her doorway house.
Chillin' with Daddy after the party. Makes me want to kiss that tummy!
It was too hectic during the party to take many pictures, so we took these afterwards.
She was getting tired of taking pictures at this point, but I had to include this one because you can see her two bottom teeth!
We love you, Charlie Bear! Happy 1st Birthday!!!
