Charlotte's first Easter egg hunt was a huge success! She had 8 adults to help her find all the eggs and cheer her on. When she first saw the eggs on the porch, she made the sign for "please" thinking that surely one of her cheering squad would just hand her each egg :)
But then she got the hang of it and realized it might be fun to get each one herself....
...especially once she figured out that there was food inside!
As she found each egg, I tried to get her to put them in her basket, but she thought it was much more fun to take the eggs out of the basket after I put them in there :)
Out of goldfish, Cheerios, and puffs, the goldfish eggs were definitely her favorite.
Getting excited over finding another egg.
"Wait a minute, there are snacks inside there? Woohoo!"
A little dirt on our Cheerios just adds to the flavor, right?
She loved opening them herself - I love the concentration!
"Don't even think about taking this egg from me."
"But you can have this one if you want!"
I was really hoping that Charlie would be walking for this, but I think it turned out even cuter for her to crawl to each egg on her first Easter egg hunt. After the egg hunt, all she wanted to do was walk - she walked for a minute with Mommy and Daddy and then took Nana all the way down the street. It was such a fun day, and I'm so thankful for my little Easter egg hunter!

Looks like one Balena girl is getting more hair and the other Balena girl has less---cute new 'do, momma B! xo
