I had a couple of blog posts that I wanted to work on this weekend, but they are going to have to wait because....Charlotte took her first steps yesterday! Yiiippppppeeeeeee!
She had been standing up on her own over the past couple of days and was getting stronger each time. Then, yesterday, we pulled her walker away from her a little bit and she took 2 steps towards it. It happened so fast that we weren't sure that it counted as her first steps or not, so we tried to replicate it all afternoon, to no avail.
BUT THEN, she stood up all on her own, got a determined look on her face, and took 4 steps without us doing anything at all! Rob and I were thrilled! We were so proud and both got a little teary eyed. We clapped and yelled so loudly and it startled Charlotte so much that she didn't want to walk anymore. We tried for about an hour to get her walking on camera, and this was what happened:
