Fun in the sun...well, mostly the shade

Taking a break from memory lane, here are some pictures from our weekend in Dallas.  We went to visit and introduce Charlotte to some dear extended family (love you, Davis clan!), and Charlotte had some big fun in the swimming pool.  She had been to the pool a couple of times before, and we thought she seemed somewhat disinterested.  Actually, I think she just completely relaxes when she gets in the water, as you can see.

She was the cutest thing just floating around and taking it all in.

I tried not to be too paranoid, but I think Rob would tell you that I was a more than a little concerned about keeping her out of the sun and in the shade as much as possible.

She loved playing in the little fountain.  It seemed to help her understand the idea of splashing because she started splashing more than she ever had in her bath that night.

Charlotte really loves her cousins, Ashley and Lauren!  They were such sweet girls to play with her and help her get used to the big open waters.

A big thanks to Uncle Ben for choosing such a perfect first swimsuit!  He got it for her before we even knew if she was a boy or girl....he just knew that she was a girl.  What a wonderful uncle he is :)
